Who are we?

Foster Care Group Wales are an Independent Fostering Agency based in South Wales since 2000. We focus our work on providing outstanding care to children and high quality support to all our foster parents.

We pride ourselves on being an agency who work in partnership with our foster parents, our growth as an agency has mainly been due to word of mouth referrals from our existing foster parents who appreciate the high levels of support offered to them.

The choice of becoming a foster parent can be one of the most difficult, yet rewarding decisions you can ever make. Foster Care Group Wales is here to support you through every stage of this life-changing journey.

Why choose us?

We recruit, assess and train to an exceptional level and offer generous rates of allowances and expenses. Alongside our high level of support and supervision , we understand that foster parents need to have support not just in office hours, therefore provide a 24 hour, 7 days a week support service. We offer a training programme tailored to our carers experience and skills. Newly approved foster parents are provided with an induction programme introducing them to the agency and their role. All our foster parents are allocated a qualified and experienced social worker who provides advice, support and supervision.

What type of placements do we offer?

A wide variety of children and young people are placed with our foster parents from Local Authorities across South Wales. This includes children of all ages and from a range of diverse backgrounds. We offer placements to children from birth until young people are ready to move on to independence. We also offer specialist parent and child assessment placements where appropriate. Go to our ‘types of placement’ page see the full range of placements we offer.
